Chimney Insulation

Above are two of the more common types of insulation. The one on the left is a foil wrap; on the right, a lightweight masonry insulation product. A semi-permanent material, it will stay in place when installed yet can be removed. A chimney is normally insulated when a chimney liner is installed unless the manufacturer's instructions indicate otherwise.
