Our company has attempted to bring together a number of topnotch products which we make available to our clients. On this page we present to you information concerning chimney liners, chimney caps, and dampers.

Chimney Liners:

Inside your chimney there is a passage for flue gases, created by combustion, to exit your home. This passage is called a liner. Some chimneys, however, do not have a liner and the flue gases travel just inside the bricks (or blocks) that make up the chimney. The picture on the right shows a chimney with a clay tile liner exiting at the top.

If there is no liner in your chimney, or should the tile become cracked or broken, we can install a stainless steel chimney liner. Our liners are appropriate for gas, oil, pellets, and wood. The graphic on the left shows a cutaway of a chimney with a stainless steel liner installed. Since many factors determine the selection of a product most fitting for your chimney, please call our office and we will be glad to help.

Chimney Caps:

He may be cute but if he gets into your home he will create a mess! Raccoons are just one of the many reasons for having a chimney professional install a chimney cap on top of your chimney. Take a look at the photo of these chimney caps and you will see right away that they are offered in many shapes and sizes and, if needed, we can custom prepare a chimney cap for your unusually shaped chimney. Oh, chimney caps also keep out birds and other animals as well as raccoons. Moreover, the less rain that enters the chimney, the smaller the possibility of unwelcome odor that you may notice - especially on a chimney that serves a fireplace.

If you heat your home with oil or gas, we encourage you to ask us about installing a chimney cap to prevent leaves or other debris from aiding in a buildup which could ultimately create a total obstruction in your chimney.

Dampers:

The damper shown above is known as the "Butterfly Damper". It installs outside on the top of the chimney but can be operated from the comfort of your home. As you can see, not only does it work like a damper but, when closed, will close the top of the chimney and prevent rain or leaves from entering. The Butterfly Damper is great when used as a replacement for a broken throat damper located inside the chimney.
